Rachel Lynette&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.minds-in-bloom.com\/2011\/09\/free-jenga-multiplication-and-addition.html\" target=\"_blank\">Multiplication Jenga Labels<\/a> have had me in love with the Jenga format for practicing math skills for a while now, so last week I combined that love with my love of QR codes in a self-checking Jenga game about fractions. They just build a group tower together however they wish with blocks that they have solved correctly.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-V5Ak_BaN6I4\/UUkFkffQxOI\/AAAAAAAAE4M\/DmyHF3kFnKQ\/s1600\/photo+4.JPG\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" border=\"0\" height=\"640\" src=\"http:\/\/flapjackeducation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/photo-4-1.jpg\" width=\"482\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<h4>\n<u>Here&#8217;s How It Works<\/u><\/h4>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>\nPREPARATION:<\/h2>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<p><b>Easy Way<\/b><br \/>\n1) Print the two pages of Jenga cards on whole sheet sticker paper. I buy mine at Amazon.<br \/>\n2) Laminate the pages before cutting anything. (Try to use the lowest mm of thickness possible. The thicker lamination seems to reflect the light more, making it harder to scan the QR codes.)<br \/>\n3) Cut out and stick onto the sides of the Jenga blocks.<\/p>\n<p><b>Not-So-Easy Way<\/b><br \/>\n1) Print out the two pages of Jenga cards on regular printing paper.<br \/>\n2) Cut out each of the cards.<br \/>\n3) Position onto blocks and cover with clear packaging tape. Make sure the tape completely covers the QR codes. If there are any tape lines, the QR code may not scan.<\/p>\n<h2>\nHOW TO PLAY:<\/h2>\n<p>Players: 1 to 4<br \/>\n1) Take turns choosing Jenga blocks.<br \/>\n2) Solve the problem and tell the answer to your group.<br \/>\n3) Have someone else check your answer by scanning the QR code. (To do this, students need an iPod 4th generation or higher, an IPAD 2 or higher, or a Smartphone.
